F-Gas Emissions

Clorox uses a minimal amount of fluorinated gases (F-gases) in its equipment and manufacturing processes. We are committed to doing everything that we can to recycle, reuse and minimize our amount of F-gas use.

The primary F-gas that we use at our facilities is the commercially available refrigerant Tetrafluroethane (R134a). R134a is currently used in our industrial refrigeration system. The R134a in our industrial units and plant facilities works in a closed loop system. During the servicing of our industrial equipment, we trap, store and capture R134a and return it into the system after maintenance servicing. Clorox is committed to using best maintenance practices by certified technicians to do so.
