Clorox knows that it can’t do it alone and actively seeks partners and other affiliations to help us become a more sustainable company.
Clorox also cares. In addition to our work to make Clorox a more sustainable company, we strive to make a positive eco impact beyond Clorox. This includes donating nearly a million dollars each year to environmental causes, and working on a number of fronts to be a constructive force in moving our industry to a more sustainable future.
The Clorox Company donates nearly $1 million annually to environmental causes.
Clorox works with its retail partners in order to make our joint supply chain more eco-efficient, and in order to bring more sustainable products to today's consumers. Part of this commitment is our active participation as a founding member of The Sustainability Consortium—an industry-wide effort of manufacturers, retailers, academic experts, and NGOs that is working to standardize and make more transparent the way companies and products measure and communicate their environmental impact.
Clorox works with a number of organizations to further environmental sustainability initiatives within our company, industries and communities.
Since 2008, Clorox has shared its sustainability story and learnings at over 25 conferences and forums. We also appreciate the opportunity to learn from and share practices with other companies, NGOs and sustainability experts who have much to teach us.
Clorox is committed to the principle of transparency and publicizes its sustainability activities on our Clorox web site, in our Annual Report, and soon in a separate Corporate Responsibility Report.
We also report our environmental activities to a number of organizations, including the Carbon Disclosure Project, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Climate Leaders Program. We also report to major investor research firms requesting our sustainability information, and welcome and cooperate with external rating organizations like Climate Counts, Newsweek, and the Good Guide.
