Environmental sustainability is core to the way Clorox operates its global businesses. In fact, sustainability has been identified as one of four significant consumer megatrends that influences the strategic direction of the company. And our eco footprint reduction goals are all embedded in our formal Corporate Business Strategy. Clorox also has an explicit environmental sustainability strategy that guides Eco efforts across the enterprise and that is executed by the Company’s Eco Office.

Environmental sustainability is one measure that impacts Clorox’s Executive Management compensation as the Clorox Executive Committee is charged with executing the Company’s overall business strategy which includes our eco goals. And these environmental sustainability goals are also part of the Corporate Scorecard that is regularly reviewed by our Board of Directors.
Additionally, sustainability goals are cascaded to relevant Business Unit and Functional Leader compensation plans, and a large portion of the Company’s Eco Office personnel’s annual variable compensation is contingent on making specific progress against Clorox’s eco strategy.
